Back-cracking adjustments - Oh, it seems painful for someone who has not experienced an adjustment. But, does it even hurt at all? Is it safe?
The common question I get asked for people who have never had a chiropractic adjustment before is, "Is it painful?"
It should not be painful if it's delivered by someone who has the right experience and of course, is properly trained.
This is one of the challenges that we face in Malaysia.
There's people who claim to be chiropractors that have had no proper training.
When that happens then yes, that may hurt.
It's important to understand the patient that you're dealing with, in terms of treating someone who's healthy, with strong bones, who's in good condition.
A chiropractic adjustment should actually feel amazing, it should feel that you're releasing a lot of pent up stress and energy in your body.
After an adjustment, you should feel like you're walking on air, you have movement, you're able to bend your knees and touch your toes.
That's how a chiropractic adjustment should feel.
Now, if there's an underlying problem, for example, bone spurs, and you don't know because you haven't done the right examination and you manipulate someone or they have something wrong with the vertebra, then of course, it's going to be painful, and you can cause some serious damage.
So it's important that you see a chiropractor that has the right amount of experience and the proper training.
Come in and see our chiropractors, we'e well trained, we have experienced, that's the most important thing.
We know what type of adjustment to give in order to get the body to function better, and to help you get your quality of life back.
